A Skit

One of the children wanted to perform in a skit.

Initially the skit had little content and was very free form.

After a while the adults in attendance suggested that a skit be developed based on the book read the previous day which had caused a lot of discussion: Kindness by J. Woodson.

During the initial re-enactment of the book the adults added prompts from contents of the book as well as props as the children (by this time the second child joined the activity) developed the skit.

The skit was repeated at least two more times, each time more prompts and props being added – so that at the end the book was re-enacted quite well.

The plays were recorded on an iPad device.
